Cancelling seethelight services

We are sorry to hear you want to cancel your seethelight services.

To cancel your seethelight services

There are a number of ways that you can leave seethelight. The section below explains what you can expect when you leave. To cancel your seethelight services, we require 30 days’ notice.

Please select one of the following scenarios that best suits your situation.

Cancelling within 12 month minimum period - choosing a different provider

If you are still within your 12 month minimum contract term, and wish to change to a different provider on the network, you will be subject to early termination fees.

Please note, it will take 10 working days for your account to transfer to a new provider. This is so your new provider allows sufficient time under the distance selling regulations cooling off period for you to change your mind.

If moving to another provider you do not need to inform seethelight of cancellation. We will receive notice from your new chosen provider that you intend to switch and your seethelight services will be automatically ceased on the migration date. You will then receive a final bill for your seethelight services. If you pay by Direct Debit, please do not cancel this until your seethelight account is settled.

If you wish to keep your existing telephone number, simply let your new provider know and they will contact the owner of the infrastructure; Open Fibre Networks Limited (OFNL) who will arrange a transfer of your services to your new provider.

Cancelling within 12 month minimum period - moving home

If you are leaving within your 12 month minimum contract term, and are moving to a house seethelight does not supply, you will not be charged any termination fees, simply your 30 day notice period.

Cancelling within your cooling off period

If you cancel the contract during the 14 day cancellation period and your service began prior to its cancellation, you must pay us an amount which is in proportion to the service provided up to the point you cancelled your order, including any chargeable calls you have made.

If you cancel this agreement during these fourteen (14) days, you agree to return all equipment supplied to you, such as your router and Ethernet cables to seethelight at your own cost. The right of cancellation under this clause does not affect your statutory rights. We’ll refund all payments we’ve received from you, including the delivery costs of any equipment you ordered.

Cancelling outside of the 12 month minimum period - moving home

If you are outside of your 12 month minimum contract, you will not have to pay early termination fees, but you will still be required to give us 30 days’ notice period.
